Lock In Inclusion

This year, we’ve taken our traditional Giving Tuesday “Give Me 5!” effort
and grown it into a yearlong campaign dedicated to strengthening access for people with disabilities and expanding Makapo’s mission to new communities around the world. Lock In Inclusion powers the heart of what we do: creating warm, mixed-ability paddling experiences where every participant can feel the joy, confidence, and connection that come from being out on the water. Your support keeps our programs thriving at the Newport Aquatic Center and beyond, ensuring that anyone who wants to paddle has a place in one of our canoes.

Every contribution creates real momentum. You’re helping us grow Ohana Days that introduce new families to the sport, expand competitive racing pathways for disabled athletes pushing their limits, and advance adaptive technologies that open new possibilities in outrigger paddling. Supporters can choose from several giving levels, each one helping more people of all abilities get on the water and feel connected to our community. A $5 donation continues the spirit of our Giving Tuesday campaign and provides a helpful boost to the everyday needs of our inclusive programs.
A $25 gift strengthens our coaching, safety support, and equipment access for anyone stepping into a canoe for the first time - or the hundredth.
