Community Outreach
Makapo is committed to spreading the word about how much fun outrigger paddling can be for people with disabilities, their family and their friends. Our Get OnBoard Outreach Program accomplishes this through presentations made to local community events, schools, and clubs. We also provide private clinics for these organizations to experience paddling with others from their community.
Private Clinics
Our clinics are designed to provide a private and tailored paddling experience for our guests. Makapo has welcomed private groups from various service organizations in Orange County such as the UCI Center for Autism, Beyond Blindness, Angel City Games, and others. The clinics are staffed by Makapo's experienced crew of coaches and volunteers who are passionate about getting everyone on the water.

Presentations
Makapo welcomes invitations to come speak at events, meetings, and other functions to share our story with those serving the disabled community and the general population. We love to tell stories of empowerment, advocacy, and agency that feature the people and families who have paddled with us.
